The Bristol Apache Adult Team is proud of its local ties and helps out in the community running events in local schools and also maintaining strong links with local businesses in conjunction with the Bristol Aztecs Adult and Youth Teams. The Team prides it self in turning local talented youngsters into their starting players. Unlike many teams who import their stars the Aztecs rely mainly on those that "pay to play" from the local community.

The club is a non profit team that relies on players and coaches a like to pay their own way through the season covering the cost of all the expenses the club incurs.

With trips up to Scotland and Gateshead the average player most pay around £200 per season. This takes it beyond the budget of a lot of the people in Bristol that want the opportunity to play this sport. The sport offers a great release for aggression in a controlled environment. It is one of the most complete Team sports breaking down social and racial barriers. Sponsorship can help us open the sport up to more people from the local community that ordinarily would not get this opportunity.

The Best in the West
Over the past 4 years the Aztecs have remained one of the toughest teams in the country. Since 2003 the team has played in 4 straight National Bowl Finals getting excellent local and national media coverage during this run. The Apache is the development team for the Aztecs and benefit from a lot of the same exposure due to related web links and local advertising.

International Aspiration
Players, including the Head Coach of the Bristol Aztecs Adult team have had a long standing in the Great Britain Adult American Football Team in recent years, including participation in successful European Championship Teams.Players have not only been selected to represent their country but several have been invited to the NFL Europe trials for a shot at turning their hobby into a full time career.

Tom Proctor took his opportunity to play semi professional football in Florida 3 years ago and since his return has been a dominant force in the British Game along with a call up to the National Team. Tom started out with the Aztecs as a youth player. Kenny Saro has made it further into the professional ranks than any other player and is currently enjoying a career with the Florida Wildcats in Arena Football after a short Stint with the Oklahoma Yard Dogs.
